    USES :

    Choline is used to relieve pain and discomfort in the mouth caused by ulcers, sores or dentures or braces. It is used to relieve pain, swelling, and stiffness caused by arthritis or shoulder problems. Cyproheptadine is used to relieve allergy symptoms of food, blood, and plasma. It also acts as an appetite stimulant. Cyproheptadine treats mild and complicated urticaria. Additionally, it is used to treat running nose, watery eyes, itching nose, sneezing, and hives.

    How does the drug work?

    The drug choline belongs to a class of medications called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Choline salicylate acts by inhibiting the formation and release of a chemical known as prostaglandins which cause pain and swelling in the body. Cyproheptadine is an antihistamine that blocks the binding of histamine to its receptors and restricts the action of histamine that causes allergic reactions.

    What are the common side effect?

    Choline side effects include blood vomiting, black and bloody stools, tarry stools, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, dizziness, headache, hearing loss, heartburn, ringing in the ear, stomach pain, and vomiting. The common reported side effects of cyproheptadine are drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, dry throat, dry nose, difficulty during urination, excitement, headache, muscle weakness, blurred vision, and chest congestion.

    Important Information for use

    • People with bone marrow depression should not use Zepcar CR medicine.

    • Avoid the Zepcar CR drug if an allergic reaction was seen with an earlier use of carbamazepine.

    • Do not take any other antidepressant drugs along with Carbafen tablet. If a MAO-inhibitor drug was used in the past 14 days, then do not take Zepcar CR.

    • Call the doctor immediately in the case of skin rash, unusual weakness, bleeding and fever. This is because of the chances of Carbafen side effects such as life-threatening skin rash.

    • Continue the Zepcar CR medication for the full length prescribed by the doctor.

    • Pregnant women should not start or stop using Zepcar CR unless instructed by the doctor.

    • Don’t get exposed to sunlight due to the risk of sunburn with Zepcar CR.

    • Do not take grapefruit juice while using Zepcar CR.
