    Diltiazem is the active ingredient present in Channel drug. It is used to manage blood pressure and treat and prevent angina.

    Diltiazem is a calcium channel blocker that works by opening up blood vessels to increase supply of blood and oxygen to the heart. It also lowers the blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels to decrease the work load on the heart.

    What are the common side effects?

    The common side effects of diltiazem are orthostatic hypotension, cough, dizziness, decreased heart rate, confusion, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, swollen limbs, and loss of appetite.
