    Chlorpheniramine Chlorpheniramine is commonly used to treat symptoms of cold, asthma and hay fever, such as sneezing, runny nose, itching, and watery eyes. Codeine Codeine is used to treat symptoms of allergies such as sneezing, running nose, itching, and watery eyes. It also treats symptoms caused by food allergy and insect bites. Additionally, it acts as a mild analgesic.

    Mode of drug action

    Chlorpheniramine Chlorpheniramine is classified under antihistamines. It blocks a chemical known as histamine, which is released by the body in response to an allergic reaction. Histamine is responsible for many symptoms of allergy. Codeine Codeine is a narcotic pain reliever and allergy suppressant. Codeine binds to the opioid receptors in the brain that transmits the sensation of pain throughout the body. It also decreases the intracellular cAMP by inhibiting adenylate cyclase. Codeine acts as an analgesic by converting into morphine.
