    Hifenac TA 100/325/37.5 mg Tablet is the combination of Aceclofenac, Tramadol and Paracetamol which is used for pain relief.

    How Does the Drug Work?

    Paracetamol and aceclofenac works by selectively inhibiting the activity of an enzyme- Cyclooxygenase (COX) and supresses the release of prostaglandins that cause pain, inflammation and fever. Tramadol is an opioid (narcotic) analgesics which lowers the pain by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine and increasing the serotonin release. As a result, the perception and response to pain alters.

    Interactions:

    • Concomitant treatment with aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may increase the risk of GI bleeding.
    • This medicine may increase the effects of anticoagulants such as warfarin when concomitantly used with it.
    • Concomitant treatment of paracetamol with anticonvulsants such as phenytoin and barbiturates may decrease the serum level of paracetamol.
    • Tramadol may increase the risk of seizures when concomitantly used with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
    • Tramadol may increase the risk of serotonin syndrome when concomitantly used with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
    • Concomitant treatment with carbamazepine may decrease the serum concentration of tramadol.

    Hifenac TA 100/325/37.5 mg Tablet is unsafe for use during pregnancy and lactation. Prior consultation to your doctor is advisable in such cases.
