    Mode of drug action

Fenofibrate Fenofibrate is a lipid regulating agent. It increases the lipolysis and elimination of triglycerides by activating lipoprotein lipase. The lipoprotein reduces the production of apoprotein C-III. This results in the fall of triglycerides and LDL. Rosuvastatin Rosuvastatin belongs to the class of lipid-lowering agents (statins). It works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, the enzyme used in the cholesterol synthesis. It enhances the catabolism of LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and thus lowers the blood lipid levels.
