    What is Lntrio 40/20/12.5 mg Tablet?

    Lntrio 40/20/12.5 mg Tablet contains the combination of Telmisartan, Chlorthalidone and Cilnidipine which is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.

    Uses:

    Lntrio 40/20/12.5 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure (Hypertension).

    How Does the Drug Work?

    Telmisartan inhibits the activity of angiotensin II which in turn causes dilation of blood vessels and lowers the blood pressure. Cilnidipine works by preventing entry of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells and relaxing the blood vessels. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that prevents the reabsorption of electrolytes and removes extra water.

    • Concomitant treatment with other antihypertensives may potentiate the hypotensive effects of this medication.
    • Concomitant use with rifampicin may cause reduced plasma level of cilnidipine.
    • Concomitant treatment with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may decrease hypotensive effect of this medication.
    • Concomitant use with potassium containing supplements may Increase risk of hyperkalaemia (high serum potassium level).
    • Concomitant use with aliskiren may cause toxic effects on kidneys.

    • This medicine should be used with special caution in the patients with hyperkalemia (High potassium serum levels).
    • Lntrio 40/20/12.5 mg Tablet should not be used in the patients below 18 years of age.
    • Lntrio 40/20/12.5 mg Tablet should be used with extreme caution in the patients with obstructive biliary disease.
    • This medicine should be used with caution in the elderly patients.

    Pregnancy and lactation:
